The Problem
Don’t Let These Common Website Failure Points Stand in Your Path to Growth!
You may offer a great product or service. You may provide great value and have a stellar reputation, but if your website isn’t doing its job, you may struggle to find new customers to grow your business.
We have seen dozens of companies like yours whose customer acquisition is being hindered because their website was not well conceived or executed.-
Outdated Design
Does your site look old or unprofessional, giving potential customers a poor first impression? Keeping the design fresh, modern, and aligned with your brand’s visual identity can be challenging.
-
Slow Loading Times
Long page load times can frustrate visitors and increase bounce rates. You might struggle with optimizing images, code, and hosting environments to achieve consistently a good user experience.
-
Difficult User Flow
Complex menus, cluttered layouts, or unclear calls-to-action can confuse visitors, making it hard for them to find what they need. This leads to missed opportunities and lower conversion rates.
-
Limited Scalability
As a business grows, its website needs to handle increased traffic, more products, and additional content. Sites not designed with scalability in mind can make maintenance very time-consuming and costly.
-
Poor Search Visibility
The site might not appear prominently on search results, making it hard for potential customers to discover your business. You may struggle optimizing your site to give your content the best chance to rank.
-
Poor Conversion Rates
Despite steady traffic, is your site struggling to convert visitors into paying customers? You might struggle with where to place calls-to-action and how to design landing pages or forms to drive the most sales.
-
Security Vulnerabilities
Has your site been the victim on hacks or malware? Business owners often worry about keeping their website updated and secure, protecting their website and customer data from bad actors.
-
Accessibility Challenges
An inaccessible website doesn’t just create frustration — it creates barriers. Many businesses unknowingly exclude potential customers because their sites aren’t designed to accommodate users with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive impairments.

From Our Founder
When I started this company, I made myself a promise: we would never treat websites like products on a shelf. Every business we work with represents real people, real risks, and real dreams—so our job is to bring expertise and honesty to the table, not push whatever makes us the most money. That’s why we focus on giving you exactly what you need to grow online, nothing more and nothing less. If a feature won’t move the needle for your business, we’ll tell you. If a simpler solution will save you money and still get results, we’ll recommend it. Your success is the metric that matters most.
Over time, that approach has earned us something we’re really proud of: a 5-star rating on Google and a reputation for best-in-class customer service. Clients know they can reach us, ask questions, and get straight answers. At the end of the day, we only win when you do. That’s the heart behind every design, every strategy, and every decision we make.

A Practical Guide to WordPress Website Maintenance
WordPress remains the world’s most popular content management system — powering a large portion of all websites on the internet with a rich ecosystem of themes, plugins, and tools. But that popularity comes with a trade-off: a WordPress site needs regular attention to stay secure, fast, and functioning as intended.

Will AI Make Web Designers Redundant in 2026?
Well, 2025 was a big year for AI, and as we enter 2026, we may be at the start of a shift as monumental as the industrial revolution, or perhaps in one of the most enormous speculative technology bubbles we’ve ever seen. As a web designer, I’m inundated with endless AI products that promise to make my work effortless and instantaneous. I remain a little bit skeptical to this point.

WordPress Page Builder Comparison
Oftentimes, when it comes to web development, the factor that is most important to the client is how the end product looks. While that is certainly important, two virtually identical sites can have drastically different workflows, and more importantly, drastically superior/inferior code. While the code is not visible to the everyday end user, it is…

Frequently Asked Questions
Investing in a new website can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re not sure what to expect. To make things easier, we’ve put together answers to the questions we hear most often—from how much a website costs and how long it takes, to how hosting works and what you need to know about accessibility and policies.
These FAQs are organized into Pricing, Process, Technical, and Legal & Compliance topics for quick reference. They’re designed to give you a clear picture of how we work and what’s involved, so you can move forward with confidence. And if something isn’t covered here, we’re only a message away.
Pricing
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all price for a website, because every project is different. The final cost depends on things like the number of pages, the features you need, and whether you require advanced functionality such as e-commerce.
As a general guideline:
- Brochure-style websites (small business sites focused on presenting information) typically start in the $2,500–$3,500 range.
If we’re optimizing for specific keywords, we may recommend more pages, which can increase the overall cost. - E-commerce websites are more complex. Even if you’re selling a small number of products, there are additional considerations such as product variations, shipping rules, taxes, and payment processing.
Most e-commerce projects fall somewhere between $4,000 and $10,000, depending on the size and complexity of your store.
Once we understand your goals and requirements, we’ll provide a clear, customized quote so you know exactly what to expect.
Website costs can be grouped into several main categories. When comparing proposals, it’s important to make sure you’re comparing apples to apples:
- Domain registration
This is the annual fee to own your domain name (e.g., yourcompany.com). Most domains cost around $20–$30 per year for common extensions. - Design and development
Design is the process of planning how your website looks and how users move through it (often called UI/UX). Development is the technical work of building the site and its functionality.
We typically handle these together, as most projects require both. - Plugins and third-party subscriptions
Many modern website features—such as advanced forms, security tools, or e-commerce features—are powered by paid plugins or third-party services. These often require ongoing subscriptions so the software remains supported, secure, and up to date. This is especially common for e-commerce sites. - Web hosting
Your website’s files and database live on a server. Hosting can range from low-cost shared hosting (often a few dollars per month, usually with prices increasing after the first year) to high-performance dedicated hosting that can cost hundreds of dollars per month. The right choice depends on your site’s size, complexity, and traffic. - Maintenance and updates
Website software (WordPress core, themes, and plugins) needs regular updates for security and performance. It’s also wise to periodically check for broken links, errors, and other issues.
You can do this yourself or hire someone to handle it on your behalf. Maintenance packages vary depending on how hands-on you want to be and how often content is updated.
We’ll help you understand which of these costs apply to your project so there are no surprises.
Process
There’s no strict rule, but a website shouldn’t be a “set it and forget it” asset.
You may want to consider a redesign or major refresh when:
- Your current site no longer reflects your brand or services
- New technologies or design standards have made your site feel dated or slow
- You’re losing opportunities because the site is hard to use on mobile, loads slowly, or is difficult to update
- You’re planning a significant shift in your business or marketing strategy
As a general guideline, many businesses plan for a major refresh every 5 years. In faster-moving industries, it might be closer to 3 years, while in slower-changing fields some websites can stretch to 7–8 years—though waiting that long isn’t ideal for most.
While every project is unique, our process usually includes:
- Discovery & Strategy – Understanding your goals, audience, and content needs
- Sitemap & Wireframes – Planning structure and user flow
- Design – Creating the visual look and feel
- Development – Building the site in WordPress
- Content & Testing – Adding content, testing functionality, and fixing any issues
- Launch & Support – Going live and providing ongoing hosting and maintenance options
We walk you through each step so you always know what’s happening next.
No problem. We can:
- Redesign your existing site while preserving your content where appropriate
- Migrate your site to WordPress if you’re currently on another platform
- Audit your current site to identify what’s working, what’s not, and what should be improved
We’ll help you decide whether it’s better to build fresh or improve what you already have.
Timelines depend on the scope and complexity of the project, but one of the biggest factors is how quickly content, photos, and approvals can be provided.
To give you a ballpark:
- We’ve completed simple projects in as little as a couple of weeks.
- Larger or more complex sites, or projects where content is still being created, can take several months or more.
- For a typical small-to-medium business website without major custom development, 6–8 weeks is a very reasonable expectation.
We’ll outline a timeline at the start and keep you updated along the way so you always know where things stand.
A professional website does much more than just look good.
Here’s how a well-built site supports growth:
- Builds credibility: A clean, modern design signals professionalism and helps potential customers feel confident about working with you.
- Improves user experience: We focus on sites that load quickly, are easy to navigate, and present information in a clear, digestible way. Overly dense text or “artsy” pages that are hard to use drive visitors away.
- Encourages action: We incorporate clear, strategic calls to action—such as “Request a Quote,” “Book an Appointment,” or “Shop Now”—so visitors know exactly what to do next.
- Supports marketing efforts: Your site can be optimized to work alongside your other marketing channels, from social media to email campaigns, helping you capture and convert more leads.
In short, a good website doesn’t just sit there; it actively helps turn visitors into inquiries, bookings, and sales.
Technical
Absolutely. We build sites in WordPress with content management in mind. You’ll be able to log in and update text, swap images, add blog posts, and make other routine changes without needing to know how to code. If you’d like, we can also provide basic training or documentation.
Hosting is the service that keeps your website online.
All your website’s files and data live on a physical server in a data center. When someone types in your domain name, that server delivers the website to their device.
Not all hosting is equal:
- Discount hosting can be very inexpensive at first, but often comes with trade-offs: slower load times, more downtime, weaker security, and steep price increases after the first term.
- High-end hosting is designed for large, high-traffic sites and can be overkill (and overly expensive) for many small to medium-sized businesses.
We offer a “Goldilocks” hosting option—right-sized, reliable hosting that’s well-suited to the needs of most of our clients, without the headaches of bargain providers or the high costs of enterprise hosting.
Yes. Protecting your investment by keeping your site updated and healthy is essential.
We offer a range of hosting and maintenance packages to fit different needs and budgets, which can include:
- Regular software updates (WordPress core, themes, and plugins)
- Security monitoring and backups
- Performance checks
- Content updates, depending on the package
If you prefer to maintain the site yourself, that’s also an option. We provide guidance—including a blog post on how to maintain a WordPress website—and we’re happy to step in on an as-needed basis for larger updates or occasional help.
We build websites using SEO best practices, including clean code, fast load times, and proper use of headings and metadata. Basic on-page optimization is typically part of our projects.
If you’re looking for ongoing SEO campaigns—such as content strategy, link building, or regular performance reporting—we can discuss additional SEO services or partner solutions.
No, we work exclusively with WordPress.
WordPress is the most widely used website platform in the world. It’s open source, which means your website isn’t locked into one company’s proprietary system or hosting environment.
Some key advantages:
- A huge ecosystem of themes, plugins, and integrations
- A large community of developers making it easier to find support and extend your site’s functionality
- Flexibility to move your site between different hosting providers if needed
By specializing in WordPress, we’re able to build flexible, scalable websites that can grow with your business.
Yes. All of our websites are built to be responsive, which means they automatically adapt to different screen sizes—desktop, tablet, and mobile. With most web traffic now coming from phones, mobile-friendliness is a standard part of our process, not an add-on.
Legal & Compliance
Accessibility is important both from a legal and ethical perspective.
Depending on where you operate and the size of your business, you may be required by law to ensure your website meets certain accessibility standards. Even if you’re not legally obligated, making your site usable for people with disabilities is simply good practice—and it increases the number of people who can become your customers.
Here’s how we approach accessibility:
- We use tools and best practices to design and build sites with accessibility in mind.
- We aim to follow established accessibility guidelines, but we do not guarantee full WCAG 2.0 compliance.
- For businesses where accessibility is mission-critical, we can integrate third-party services that provide regular accessibility audits and automated remediation of many common issues.
If accessibility is a key requirement for you, let us know, and we’ll factor dedicated tools and services into your proposal.
In most cases, yes, you should have both—especially if your website collects any kind of personal information (like contact form submissions, newsletter signups, or online purchases).
Here’s why they matter:
- Privacy Policy
Many privacy and data protection laws, as well as third-party services (like analytics or marketing tools), require you to clearly explain:- What information you collect
- How you use it
- How it’s stored and protected
- Whether it’s shared with anyone else
This builds trust with visitors and helps you stay on the right side of legal requirements.
- Terms of Service (Terms & Conditions)
Your Terms of Service set the “house rules” for using your site. They’re especially important if you:- Sell products or services online
- Allow users to create accounts or post content
- Offer subscriptions, memberships, or digital downloads
Well-written terms can help limit your liability, clarify refund or cancellation policies, and outline acceptable use.
We’re not a law firm and can’t provide legal advice, but we can:
- Add these pages to your website
- Implement content you or your lawyer provides
- Work with reputable templates or generators that you can have reviewed by a legal professional
If you don’t currently have a Privacy Policy or Terms of Service, we strongly recommend discussing them with your lawyer or legal advisor as part of your website project.
